Why?
Gender dysphoria is a hard thing to live with. I spent years trying to be someone I wasn't, and it wore me down. Transitioning is me finally becoming who I really am — it can be tough sometimes, but it's also the best decision I've ever made.
Why does the domain still have your old name?
The domain was registered before I was born, and I keep this web address active for technical reasons and personal history, even though it still carries my old name. Now that you've landed here, you know it's me — Eva.
What should I call you?
Eva — she/her.
Can I tell other people?
It's not a secret — I'm fine with people knowing, so yes, you can tell others. I just don't go around announcing it to strangers or anything.
How should I introduce you?
Simply as Eva, she/her. That really is all there is to it :)
What if I accidentally slip up?
Don't worry, it happens — these things take getting used to. Just correct yourself gently and move on, no big deal. A quick fix beats a long apology.
Are you still the same person?
Yes, of course! I'm still me — same interests, same personality, same everything. I'm just finally living as who I actually am, and my name and pronouns finally match. Nothing about who I am has changed.
